By analyzing data, patterns and trends can be identified that can be used to increase the efficiency and performance of maintenance and production processes.
However, the environment is not always designed in such a way that a smooth exchange of information is possible. For example, continuous networking is not possible for technical or security reasons. Systems may also be too old to be equipped with the latest IoT technologies. Or they may be in a location without an internet connection.
The solution: connect what is separate
But even machines that are not networked with each other can learn. The Business Filemanager (BFM) Connect provides an alternative to large IoT platforms by making it possible to connect previously unconnected machines. This facilitates the exchange of data and knowledge between machines and improves their collaboration.
How exactly does it work?
Machine data can be transmitted via the BFM Connect app, transferred to the BFM Connect Cloud and made available for evaluation. Depending on the application and interface, data transmission must be considered individually, e.g. WiFi Direct, Bluetooth or NFC.
Thanks to the transmission technologies used, the machines are not located directly in the network, but in a secure environment. Data synchronization via the BFM Connect app and the BFM Connect Cloud takes place when it is actively initiated from a secure network. This ensures that only authorized persons have access.
This way, updates can also be easily installed on systems and carried out in a planned manner. Automation does not always make sense here, e.g. for Medical devices.
BFM-Connect enables entry into the smart service world
Even for non-networkable machines, software can improve the flow of information and thus create a bridge to lifelong learning. This leads to improved services that customers are happy to use.
