doubleSlash Agile Mixperience Cocktails

Agile Mixperience - the sparkling alternative to Scrum Cooking

After years of experience with the successful "Scrum Cooking" concept, including optimized recipes, numerous new cooking skills and customers who have enjoyed delicious menus, it's time for a change. So why not use the Scrum methodology at a Agile Mixperience learn? Instead of 3-course menus, cocktails are mixed here.

Communicating how Scrum works with cocktails

There are numerous certifications that deal with the theoretical foundations of the Scrum project management method. The best way to learn in a truly sustainable way is with Practical relevance and fun. With the "Agile Mixperience" workshop, our Agile Coaches teach, as with "Scrum Cooking" the specific roles, processes and artifacts of the methodology. The one-day workshop is held either at the customer's premises or at a location from our network. The participants get to know the basic principles in a playful way, become active themselves and experience the effects of agile working methods directly. They describe from their own experience:

"It only works with cooperation."
In the management team, we have learned to appreciate agile methods for handling our strategic and organizational tasks. The "Agile Mixperience" quickly made us realize that smooth cooperation within the team is the be-all and end-all for the success of the agile approach.

"Out of the trap "definition of (almost) done"
We Product Owners have been working together with our development team in an agile way for months and are delighted with every successful interim delivery. With the Agile Mixperience, we wanted to weld the team together again after a change in various roles. But we learned even more. Because a cocktail is only really tasty when it's actually finished and everyone can enjoy it.

"Agile working can also be useful outside of software development."
We were faced with the question of whether an agile way of working could also be applied in our sales team. After the workshop, one thing is certain: we will only be able to implement certain elements of the Scrum framework, but we will establish them consistently within our company. After the practical application between pestle, shaker and cocktails, our employees will never again forget what a Scrum Master and a Product Owner do.

This is how the Agile Mixperience works:

  • Theoretical introduction to the Scrum framework to create a common understanding among the participants.
  • Team building and distribution of the roles of Scrum Master, Product Owner and team members.
  • Preparation of the product vision and the product backlog. The aim is to be able to offer the "customer" attractively decorated, delicious cocktails - from virgin cocktails to classic cocktails, depending on the customer's wishes.
  • Practical implementation of three iterations including Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective to consolidate what has been learned.
  • Joint reflection and transfer of the experience to your own working environment.

Additional challenges arise from Action cards and illustrate time and time again that good planning, transparency and Clear communication is the be-all and end-all in an agile approach. The Time is often underestimated at first. "Half an hour for a cocktail? That's no challenge!" And yet the teams get hectic at the beginning. With each sprint, the previously discussed theory becomes more comprehensible and better applied - the team settles in, learns and works more productively in the next iteration.

Throughout the day, participants will be accompanied by experienced agile coaches who all work in different roles in agile projects themselves.

Conclusion: Agile Mixperience - for every agile level and can be used individually

Agile Mixperience creates a common understanding in the project team and is ideal for:

  • the kick-off of agile projects.
  • new project members who are integrated into ongoing agile projects.
  • Experienced project members who want to take a fresh look at their Scrum practice.
  • Companies considering the introduction of agile working and development methods.
