The new building is characterized by its modern spatial concept, which has already been implemented at the Stuttgart location and is currently being planned for the Munich location.
But the building doesn't just stand for modern architecture. It embodies our values and what defines us as a doubleSlash team: strong support and trust in each other. The SIZ is a place for our entire team, a place where social cohesion can be experienced and where each individual team member can develop.
Realizing wishes together: a workplace for all of us
In software development, code must be continuously optimized and further developed. "The innovation mindset is firmly anchored in our company," confirms Lucas, Software developer at doubleSlash. How can enthusiasm for innovation and a strong team spirit be translated into a modern spatial concept? We not only wanted to create workspaces with high standards of design and technical equipment, but also a place where people feel at home. That's why we launched a call for ideas before the building work began to see who wanted to get involved in the design and formed a group of employees who contributed the wishes and requirements of all colleagues to the project with enthusiasm and commitment.
The basic idea of the SIZ is based on the desire for open meeting areas, for space for creative ideas and development opportunities, but also for retreats that enable concentrated work.
Because smooth teamwork is very important to us. "We work in specialist teams that focus on specific topics. Communication and the ability to work together effectively are very important," confirms Patrick Schmerbach, Project Manager for the new building and Associated Partner at doubleSlash.
A place of work and leisure: the SIZ has many dimensions
But the SIZ is not just our workplace, where we develop software, advise customers and realize new projects. It is also a meeting place, a place to Feel good.
The view from the second floor into the atrium or into the open kitchens with numerous seating areas alone offer many opportunities to get together and exchange ideas. Those who want to get active can use the fitness room. There is something for everyone in the leisure room: from table football, darts and air field hockey to a gaming corner with games consoles. Those who long for peace and quiet and want to put their feet up can go to our relaxation room. Involving the families of our colleagues is just as important to us, because for us, community also means supporting each other at every stage of life. For example, we create the opportunity to bring children to work in the parent-child room.
And what is the favorite in our SIZ?
Our colleague Sandra from Sales, for example, says: "I like the modern, open and friendly design of the entire building and the outdoor area, which we were able to help design as employees. The building invites people to come together: If it's not possible to meet directly in the atrium, people simply wave to each other across the large corridor or across the floors. And there's always a grin on your face. That brings people together."
Markus, IT Consultant at doubleSlash, adds: "For me, the SIZ is a place of encounters and personal contact. There are so many places here that invite such personal encounters: Whether in the light-flooded atrium, the large open kitchens or in the small coffee corners."
Hybrid working on site or remotely: we are one team
So it's not easy to decide on a favorite. Perhaps it's simply the numerous possibilities to experience your favorite place in the SIZ anew depending on the situation, needs and well-being. Regardless of this, the concept of hybrid work and thus switching between mobile office and office is now firmly anchored in our company. The spatial concept at our locations has created places that offer the opportunity to come together as a community office, experience social cohesion and creatively shape the future of doubleSlash together.
We live like this every day our brandbased on community, enthusiasm for sustainable solutions and a high understanding of quality with which we create added value. The pandemic has shown that we can also stick together remotely and successfully implement our projects. It is therefore all the more pleasing that we have now been able to bring the doubleSlash spirit into the hybrid working world with a mix of mobile office and a modern approach to community office at our locations.
